A long and arduous wait for the new Strokes album

Between so many solo projects by each of The Strokes’ band members, it seems like their new album is the one left to suffer the most. There’s been so much talk and speculating around it, that I, for one, don’t even know what to say, or write for that matter, anymore. It’s almost the beginning of November, and there’s still no word regarding it. All we know is that the band is still recording, and…

Download: Julian Casablancas – ’11th Dimension’

Check out the first release from The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas upcoming solo album ‘Phrazes For The Young’. The track, titled ’11th Dimension’, sees Casablancas push his musical style forward and somewhat away from what you would expect from The Strokes. Julian Casablancas Flies Solo

It can be hard to know what to make of the latest solo sideline project from Julian Casablancas of the Strokes. Recorded in New York, Nebraska and Los Angeles, “Phrazes for the Young” was recorded over an 8-month period, with production provided by Jason Lader and Bright…

New video + mp3: Little Joy – ‘No One’s Better Sake’

Little Joy’s latest self titled debut made quite the buzz in the indie rock scene, upon it’s recent release, gaining quite a lot of positive buzz. The lead single, “No One’s Better Sake,” makes up for a great party starter – too bad summer’s…

The Strokes to return next summer with a new album

The garage rock revivalists have been on hiatus for quite a while now, but, apparently, the band’s going to get together soon and try some new things out, at least that’s what The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti recently stated. According to Fabrizio, the band will reform and hit the studio to start working on a follow-up to their previous 2006 effort, “First Impressions On Earth”. “We have plans of meeting up all of us together…

I haven’t completed the feature for the last 2 weeks, because both me and Andrei have been kept busy with some nasty exams, fact which could be clearly seen by the lack of activity on the blog. First up is [tag]Beck[/tag] with his latest…
