Last year was a fantastic one for, Washington based band, Modest Mouse. They’ve released their fifth studio album “We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank“, the first one with former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, with tremendous success, landing on top of the Billboard 200 chart and extensively touring the US with mates R.E.M./The National. With all these under their belt I think it’s safe to say the band deserve to have a bit of fun too and that’s exactly what they went for on their latest video for “Fly Trapped In A Jar.” The Saline Project directed video is fairly creepy to say the least, which, however, goes well with the munchky beat of the song. Candy-cane trees, a overwhelming pinkness and modern day new wave oompa-loompa.
