2008 was Justin Vernon’s (aka Bon Iver) year, for sure. His very special debut album, “For Emma, Forever Ago,” (special thanks to its circumstances of creation, special thanks to its soothing nature, special thanks to its sincerity – special by definition) earned him a lot of recognition on and off the scene, and, ultimately, made him one of the most hottest acts of 2008.
Naturally, his fans have been aching after some new material and, luckily, their cryes have been pleaded as Justin is prepping for the release of his latest material, “Blood Bank,” a small, 4-track EP, which will come out the 20th of January. The overall sound of the EP remains the same, Justin preserving his nostalgic, eerie vibe, as it’s most evident in the title track, which, as it so conveniently happens to be, can be downloaded/streamed bellow.
