This Saturday, the highly prolific [tag]Radiohead[/tag] frontman, Thom Yorke attended “The Jonathan Ross Show,” on BBC 2 radio, where among other things, he acoustically performed two songs: the mellow “Reckoner,” from In Rainbows and “Everything In Its Right Place,” from Kid A. Sunset Rubdown maps spring tour
One of my favorite songwriters, Spencer Krug, is set to travel across the Atlantic , accompanied by his band [tag]Sunset Rubdown[/tag], as part of a spring tour in Europe. The Canadians will be touring across the old world, through out UK, Ireland, and a couple Scandinavian countries before ending in early June. Should prove entertaining, especially because I,myself, am European and a big fan of the band, hopefully I’ll get to review a gig. All…
Led Zeppelin on World Tour: most probably in September
Earlier today master guitarist Jimmy Page stated for journalists in Tokyo that, after performing a show to remember at last month’s O2 benefit concert, he’s ready to take [tag]Led Zeppelin[/tag] on tour, but no sooner then September. “The amount of work we put into O2 was what you would normally put into a world tour anyway,” Page, 64, said of the intense rehearsing the band did for the Dec. 10 concert at London’s O2 Arena.
New Music Monday: 28 January
This weeks seems to be the first “big one” of the year 2008, with a lot of excellent new releases from both experienced and new comer artists. The clear highlight is “The Bedlam in Goliath” by [tag]The Mars Volta[/tag], which is already shaping up as a contender for best album of the year. List nerds should bookmark this, so they don’t forget it at the end of the year. A pop icon of the ’80s…

This year’s New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, or just Jazz Fest, is closing in and during its 39 year of existence, the festival has been the scene for one the most amazing Jazz and Blues spectacles ever seen. But year after year, the Orleans fest seem to stray from its roots, as more and more artists, from different genres, announce their appearance. So among the huge bunch of jazz artists, performing between April 25-27…
New Against Me! video: ‘Stop’
The punk quartet of [tag]Against Me![/tag] just released the video, for their latest single “Stop,” just in time for the US elections, as they remind us to “stop, take some time to think, figure out what’s important.” Solid advice guys, that’s something we should all do more often. As for the video, it features the Florida new wavers chilling on the couch, as their alter egos play on TV; the black and white effects do…
