Avenged Sevenfold have 6 new tracks ready for their upcoming album

Source The new Avenged Sevenfold album is going to be released in June or July next year and will actually follow up the album from 2010, Nightmare, which was the first No. 1 record from the band’s career. This new album will be the first one written and recorded without Jimmy Sullivans’ contribution, the drummer actually played a huge role in the writing process of the band’s songs before his tragic death…

Foals – ‘Inhaler’

Considering the huge musical difference between Foals’ first two full-length efforts, the jerky math-rock yelps of ‘Antidotes’ and the eerie textured anthems of ‘Total Life Forever’, no one could accuratley predict what to expect when the Oxford five-piece announced the release date of new album ‘Holy Fire’, followed by the premier of new single ‘Inhaler’ last week. Although  front man Yannis Philippakis  has hinted at a heavier direction, I don’t think anyone could have predicted this. Anyone…

Rolling Stones – One more shot; released, then taken down following negative feedback

The Rolling Stones have had a whole lot of shots in their apparently century old career, and they’ve really made it count. Definitely one of the best bands ever, still got, still ready to rock your socks off, Mick Jagger and the band have released a new video from their new album, following Doom and Gloom. This is “One More Shot”. EDIT: scratch that, UMG just took the video down for some reason. Damn if…

Green Day “Oh Love”

Breaking news! Green Day released their first single in two years! Okay…maybe this news isn’t exactly breaking, but I just got around to listening to “Oh Love” off of Green Day’s upcoming album ¡Uno! the other day. The fact that I didn’t even listen to the song, released on July 16th, until mid August really says something. When I tried to think of a few words to describe “Oh Love”, ‘average’ and ‘meh’ immediately came to mind….

“Let’s Go” – Matt & Kim new single!

Matt and Kim’s new single “Let’s Go” is available now and is a mixture of their original indie pop summery beats and calming vocals. The ooh’s and ahh’s definitely make the track do what it does best; it makes you want to get into your car, drive, roll your windows down, and “not care”. Which is, coincidentally, what the lyrics state Matt & Kim want to do. Have a listen and check out the video…

New Black Keys: “Lonely Boy”

The blues-rock duo are back (that was a quick turnaround from Brothers, wasn’t it?) with a new single from the upcoming El Camino, which is out December 6.  The album was co-produced by Danger Mouse so expect it to be great. The single is called “Lonely Boy” and features a ridiculous video.  I won’t spoil it.  Just watch it below.  As for the song, well, it continues the band’s attempt to escape the limitations of…

Fellini Love Is Hard On The Knees: Chico Fellini

A word, if you will. A little bit ago, I bellowed news of Chico Fellini’s “Single Series”, which has since thoroughly lived up to its remit of being a series of singles. The latest in this series is this: “Cherry Tree”, the cover art for which so disturbingly inhabits the top of this post. It’s embedded below the cut, along with some thoughts and words and stuff. Also, we totally need to interview Chico Fellini….

It’s Chico Time

Is that Eddie Izzard fronting a rock band? It is not. It is this thing: Chico Fellini, who are some manner of rock n’ roll beat combo. And here is what I’m telling you about them: they are releasing a double A-side single on the first of every month, featuring a Fellini original, and a cover song chosen by a magic swan (I think/hope/imagine). They have dubbed this endeavour “The Singles Series”. Quite cleverly too,…
